My Embroidered Journals

They say life is a journey.

"They" are right and also write!

I believe that you need to put your adventures out there.

Yeah, write them down and create a lasting moment for yourself, family and friends.

Go Old School and use paper and pen for a change.

I've tuned up my embroidery machine and stitched up a few journals that will certainly keep your keepsake moments looking good- at least on the outside.

So  below are some journals that I think may give you a passing grade in your Old School writings.

This journal with the Lovely  Art Nouveau Lady cover design will inspire you for some nouveau writings.

Don't be lion around - go ahead an pick up that pen and start writing NOW.

Below is a perfect journal to show your  Old School House ideas.  It has a magical and very Old School House motto.  Go Gryffindor! ( This is a handmade, one of a kind item.  I am not affiliated with or represent the Harry Potter Enterprises)

This Steampunk Alchemy Caduceus themed journal is the best medicine to blow off a little steam after a hard day.  Just pick up that quilled pen and jot down your thoughts.

Had enough of the write stuff?   Well, if NOT,  below are some more journals.

Let your thoughts flow into this  Under the Seas Mermaid Journal .  An Art Nouveau Mermaid design on the cover will cover your tales.

This journal with a Ching Chou Summer Fantasy Lady design is perfect for writing down your fantasies.

It just takes a second or two to write down your thoughts in the below Clockwork Fairy journals.

I hope that you enjoyed viewing my embroidered journals and that you will be inspired to start writing yours today.

My Machiine Embroidered Free Standing Lace Ornaments

Whoo Hoo, I haven't been around the blogosphere, for a while, but I have been around the free standing lace embroidery sphere (say that really fast with a mouth full of chewing gum, I dare yay! LOL)

I was speared by the tip of the embroidery machine needle and got the point.

What point?  The point to stitch up some free standing lace ornaments!!

Oh, come on now, I hear you saying.

It is only September and who is thinking about Christmas ornaments?

We have to make it through Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving first.

Well I said the same thing, "Who is thinking of Christmas ornaments NOW? "

Certainly not I.
So the ornaments I stitched up have nothing to do with Christmas .(BTW I love Christmas but never in September - Geesh)

These ornaments will be hanging around all seasons.  Why? You'll see below.

All the ornaments that I stitched up, I purchased the designs from my favorite embroidery site- Urban Threads.

Click on any pix to enlarge.

Take Five for these 5 Elements , natural browns and greens, with suede like hangers and beads to top it off.

Tic Tock, You won't be watching the clock but rather watching these Clockwork Snowflake ornaments

Train  your inner dragon with this ornament.

No bones about it, there are Skull Flakes below.

Not somewhere over the rainbow, but we do have Unicorns.

Soar like a bird if you like these ornaments,
,

Shifting into gear with Steampunk Snowflakes.

Once upon a midnight dreary, a Raven visited me in my chamber while I was running my embroidery machine.

I hope you enjoyed the non seasonal ornaments.
I enjoyed running the embroidery machine to stitch them up.

Today's Dollar Store Finds

I stopped in at Dollar Tree today for a gift bag and some tissue.

Well, I should say stopped and shopped in Dollar Tree.
Being a Craftaholic is like that.
You Always are shopping at every store your go into for crafts or craft ideas.

I found some reeilly nice 3-D stickers and of course the price was right - $1.

Geesh, if you go into the big box craft stores and big box stores you know how expensive 3-D stickers can be.

I keep seeing the prices go up by .50 each year on them.

So , when I saw the below stickers in the craft aisle, I felt like I hit the lottery.

I have found some very nice handmade, 3-D stickers there before , so my numbers came up again.
 My numbers?

Well if you must ask.  They are $1, $1, $1, and $1.  Okay, I bought 4 packages of stickers......LOL

This package below was really out of this world. So spaced out, like me, so I bought it. (Did you notice 21 stickers for a $1, well I  did)  Click on pix for bigger view.

I got a sign, when I noticed the below package.  I saw $1 sign for them. Click on pix for bigger view.

I said to myself :"where in the world, am I going to find stickers like these for only $1?" when I saw the 2 packages below. Click on pix for bigger view.

So do you think these are a good find or what?

Learning Machine Embroidery Designing aka Digitizing

I've haven't posted for months because I;ve been (too lazy)  very busy learning some machine embroidery software and then....creating some designs. Who whoo...and HooYah.

I've also am just spending time doing the usual stuff with the usual suspects.  Spending time with fabric and crafting junkies, just like myself.

Da plan...
Once I get a little more experience I will post links to files and whoever is brave enough to try to stitch out the designs, can have a go for Free (one of my fav 4 letter words)

But first...
I have to get the images and then find that rascally html code to get it all together.

So if you like firsts
Come back for a visit!

And liking firsts you might just like to follow the below link to my other blog
