DIY Stocking Stuffers- Wrapped Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Nuggets

The Crafting Muse needed a chocolate fix.

She asked for some help or I would be banished to world of non-crafting for a month.

So raided my ribbon stash (which is btw in her bedroom) and  wrapped some Hershey Milk Chocolate Nuggets and that saved the day and me from that non-craft dull world.

Below are some wrapped chocolates that I left as offerings to the Craft Muse.

I used gift tag stickers to make these. I have a pad of Christmas cardstock paper. I place the wrapped nuggets on a cardstock using double sided tape and slid them into a pretzel bag. Tied it off with a ribbon and it's done!. On the back is a stick that says Hershey's milk chocolate nuggets.

Here is a gift card tin full of wrapped Hershey's nuggets. I used left over scraps of HP, and  Chicago sports themed and then some gorgeous ribbon that I have from making key fobs. The box was a little big, so I wrapped some smarties candy in gift tag stickers, and placed between the nuggets. Hoping that these will appease the craft muse.  She's got to like some thing in the tins.

DIY Warpped Candy Stocking Stuffers

I've finished up this year's round of craft shows and finally found some time to post a few of the candy stocking stuffers that  I made for the Peterson Elementary School Holiday Shoppe.

I have sold out these items along with 25 decorated candy canes.  The show was sweet, I tell yah!

Check out the below to see some of the candy stocking stuffers.

Sport themed Kissies
I  have a lot of scraps of Chicago sport team fabric, so I cut out the logos and added a tag that said "It's Sweet To Be A ...(insert sport team name) Fan"   to a bag with kisses that had wrappers in the team colors. ( I am not affiliated with the Chicago BEARS and BULLS or the Green Bay Packer football teams.  These are hand made one of a kind items, using fabric scraps.)

Team Dressed Up Peppermint Patties
Chicago has 2 Championship Teams.  The CUBS won the 2016 World Series and the BlackHawks won the 2015 Stanley Cup.

To celebrate these champs, I made dressed up Pearson Peppermint Patties for each team.

For the Blackhawks I used the logos from Blackhawks fabric scraps.  For the CUBS I saved logos from cardstock advertising from the Chicago Tribune newspaper. The tag said "It's Cool to Be A... (insert CUBS or BlackHawks) Fan. " I  punched out glitter paper cicles in the team colors added the logos on the top and the Blackhawks had a fabric strip near the tie and CUBS had blue and white ribbon near the tie.
( I am not affiliated with the Chicago Blackhawks or CUBS.  These are hand made one of a kind items, using fabric scraps or images from newspaper carstock advertising.)

Wrapped Hershey's Milk Chocolate Nugget Tins
I think wrapped Hershey's Milk Chocolate Nuggets are sweet.  And because I sold them, and did not eat them, they were also NO calorie for me - LOL.

I used cardstock, ribbon, and .... magic of course,  to wrap the nuggets below. Okay, the magic was Scotch clear tape... but I did sit a spell while wrapping them, so it counts, doesn't it?

I put the nuggets into tin gift card boxes that I bought at Jo-Anne's.  The tin is a perfect fit for 9 wrapped nuggets and I placed the plastic clear cover over the chocolates to display the nuggets and hold them in.   For 2 of the tins, I covered the top to match some of the nuggets.

More Dressed Up Peppermint Patties
I had some cute stickers and I still had some bare Pearson Peppermint Patties.  I couldn't  let those patties go naked, so I made the below.

More Wrapped Hershey's Milk Chocolate Nuggets
Speaking of bare things, I had some naked nuggets (say that really fast) . I also played dress up with them. See some below.

One Last Kiss In this Post
In one of the Hershey kisses bags, there were kisses with red striped wrappers.  This was perfect for the last stocking stuffer.  I used the Elf Kisses tag that I created a few years ago and bagged them.

Stocking Stuffer Idea- Dressed -Up Peppermint Patties

I wanted to craft some stocking stuffers.

And because I have about a jillion 3-D stickers, I thought why not use em, to do stuffers!

And because the sticker carton just happened to be next to the ribbon room.

Yeah, that's right, I typed ROOM.

Geesh, there isn't a ribbon I can't past up.

Well I can pass it up, but you know the rest of the story on my ribbon therapy classes, don't you?
No?
Well, I have to post about them some time.- LOL

And of course I love chocolate and peppermint at Christmas time and of course, I just happened to have purchased this year's stash of Pearson Peppermint Patties  ( the round ones), I knew I had the perfect trio to make "Dressed Up Peppermint Patties".

Can't have naked ones, can we?

It's cool and cold at Christmas.....

Okay, running way to long on the crafting details so I'll  just jump right to the the pix of -
Dressed - Up Peppermint Patties 2013 version.

I used  3-D stickers, ribbon, and some thick photo paper for the back.

I covered some of the paper with ribbon or scrapbook paper.

To attach the stickers to the patty, I used a small adhesive dot and to attach the mint to the paper or ribbon,  I used double sided tape.

I put them in a pretzel bag and made tags that say: "Whoo, Whoo,  Is Sweet ? You Are ",  "Have the Sweetest Holiday" and "You're Snow Cool!"

Stocking Stuffer Ideas - How Sweet It is

Below are some sweet ideas for stocking stuffers that I've made for the 2012 Hobby shows.   To see some stuffers that I did this year see this blog post - Stocking Stuffer Idea - Dressed up Peppermint Patties 2013

I am not so crafty as to think of these sweet treats all by myself.  I had a little help from a great pinterest site -http://pinterest.com/wanda817/stocking-stuffers-gifts/  for Christmas pinning.   I've put a little twist on the designs and I've given credit to those who had the original idea.

This is a cute idea using Hershey kisses. I've used an elf picture from my printshop software and punched up the colors to create a cute tag with the saying.   See link for the idea and info.

And how about a different take on "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" by using Jolly Rancher candy?

Geesh, now you have that song stuck in your head for days, just like me, when I was putting the below together.   The idea came again from the pinterest link -http://pinterest.com/wanda817/stocking-stuffers-gifts/    At the link, see the pix from the  pioneerpartyandgift.com, about 1/2 down on the left hand side.  I redesigned the tag and put the 4 flavors of jolly ranchers in each bag.

Below are a few of my creations using plastic patch and some colorful yarn.  They are called Kiss Em's or Squeeze Ems, because if you squeeze the side of their faces the mouth opens and inside is a Hershey's kiss.    This is a cutey for stockings- just think of the many ways you can dress up a plain white one.  I've done a dog with a brown patch over one eye and long floppy ears.  I've found the original idea how to make them here - http://www.aboutchristmascrafts.com/super_easy_christmas_ornament_craft.html  or go to this link for a bird idea - I'm thinking about Creating an Angry Bird one - http://www.craftelf.com/Party_Favors_Plastic_Canvas_Hershey_Kiss_Bird.htm
And here are some of my own variations :

As a child, I loved to play dress up.  so this idea for dressing up and wrapping candy rolos was a hit with me.  Instructions found at this link http://stuckonstampin.blogspot.com/2011/12/12-days-of-christmas-projects-day-6.html.   I used whatever scrap book and wrapping paper that I had and some ribbon scraps. I have boxes of ribbons (My motto is "One can not have enough ribbon, so let's go shopping! ") - I designed my own tag and saying "Roll Into a Sweet Holiday"   On the back of the tag, I put a link to the candy manufacturer's site, so the giftee can see what is in the peppermint patty. What do you think?  I really think these are pretty.

Here an idea that I thought was SOOOooo cool.
It is dressing up peppermint patties.

Got the idea from -http://pinterest.com/wanda817/stocking-stuffers-gifts/   site again and saw some creations by http://stuckonstampin.blogspot.com .

For my snowflakes, I  used some Martha Stewart snowflakes, punched circles out of glitzy white and blue scrap book paper.    For the snowmen, I used foam snowman from a snowman kit I bought at Michael's Crafts.  I designed the tag and saying "You're Snow Cool"  On the back of the tag, I put a link to the candy manufacturer's site, so the giftee can see what is in the peppermint patty.

And the items below are just for use by my daughter.

She said "Mom, make something for the 1-Direction fans!  You can do it".  (She is a nag btw) I used Hershey Hugs and Kisses for the individual band member.  For the group I  used the peppermint patty idea.

The Kisses bags say " Here's you Holiday Hugs and Kisses From (one of the 1-D guys)"  and his stickers that I bought. I am NOT affiliated with or sponsored by 1-Direction. These items are handcrafted  and  I did not reproduce any images, just used a few store bought stickers.

For the Pepperming Patties, I placed the sticker on a scrap book  paper circle punched from red, green, gold, white, white and gold.  The tag says "Follow the 1D for a Sweet Holiday. "  on the back of the tag is a link to the ingredients for the candy.   I am NOT affiliated with or sponsored by 1-Direction.  These items are handcrafted with care and I did not reproduce any images, just used a few store bought stickers.

So if you make any of these, I am betting that you'll have one sweet holiday!   Any takers? LOL
