 By the book?  It's reading the book!

Bookmania is happening at our house because the Crafting Muse (who lives in the space bedroom aka the craft hoarding room) has waved her magic wand and pronounced that we are NOW living in 
BOOKMANIA.

I said to her "Is this like living in Transylvania? "  and then RAN.

Okay, to get bookish from her announcement of the current MANIA, I stitched up some bookmarks like a maniac.

My Handmade Bookmarks - Fandom themed

Hey, everyone!

I'm haven't blogged for a while because I am   lazy dealing as usual, with a four letter word L-F-F-E.

I've haven't blogged in so long, that it was getting on the nerves of the crafting Muse (who lives in the spare bedroom aka the craft hoarding room) .

When things get on HER nerves, that  makes ME nervous.

Why? 

Because he last time she got nervous she wapped me with her magic wand.

For weeks after, I was still picking up sparkles off the carpet, I tell yah. 

I was so touched, with ... her concern, that I decided to post some things that I have made. 

I make things by the book,
So of course , one of my favorite things to make are bookmarks. 

You know , those markers for old school people (young through senior) who actually like to touch paper and read paper books.

Below are some machine embroidery bookmarks that I recently made.

 

Some DIY Machine Embroidered Book Marks

I've been serving a  "time out" in the embroidery zone given to me , by the Craft Muse.

Why?

Well, apparently one does NOT comment on how wrinkly the Craft Muse wings are when she is coming out of her bedroom aka the craft hoarding room.

Never make a comment about anything,  before she has her morning fix of coffee. And never, ever, ever, mention wings and wrinkles in the same sentence.

I did that and lesson learned. 

"But First Coffee" will be tattooed on my forehead, so I will never make THAT mistake again.

So,  any whoo, while in the embroidery zone, I made some good use of the my time er time out.

Since I love to read, ( and who doesn't? since you are reading this , you do ) I decided to make some machine embroidered book marks.  

Yes, actual book marks for the old school people who read words on paper aka a book....

Below are some book marks that I made. 

DIY Dragons and Musical Notes Machine Embroidered Bookmarks

I have to keep running ye olde embroidery machine because the Craft Muse is out of town and I promised to have lots of bookmarks done before she returns.

If I complete at least 30, I will get a special "wish" from the Craft Muse.

Can I do it?  We'll see.

So the 30 countdown starts below.

30,29,28,27,26  I stitched 5 of these stacked dragon bookmarks.  I used some long ribbon for their flaming tails.  (2 repeats not pictured) .

25, 24, 23....I made 3 musical notes book marks while humming to the embroidery machine.

So, let's see .... only about 22 more to go... The race is on and I'm going to earn that crafty wish.
