DIY Hand Made Pouches

I've been away from this blog for a while.

Why?

Because the Craft Muse (who lives in the guest bedroom aka the craft room) was having a crisis.

That's why.!!!

She lost her bag of magical, mysterious, B-Musing dust.

We looked all over the place and no luck.

She was almost dissolving from her tears, when a miracle happened.

Her fairy god-mother, Agnes, popped in for a visit.  Just like that!

You didn't know that Crafting Muses have fairy god-mothers?
 So now you do.

Well, Agnes saw what was happening and with a zap from her wand, she produced a B-Musing dust storm.

I mean it.

B-Musing dust was falling like big, fat, sparkly,  snowflakes from the top of the room, near the ceiling fan .

So much was falling, that everyone started sneezing. Yikes!
Do you know what B-Musing dust smells like?
That's right, it smells like happiness.

So now the crisis of the missing B-Musing dust was over.  But there was another problem to solve.

The Craft Muse needed a bag, er bags, to hold all of the B-Musing dust.  Lots of bags for lots of piles of B-Musing dust.

That is where I came in to solve the problem. Just like that.

I have tons of embroidery machine in the hoop designs for pouches or small bags.  You know the size to put your cell phone in or your B-Musing dust.

I got right down to it and started up my machine and in a few days er weeks, made lots of bags.

Meanwhile, we had to keep the door shut to the guest bedroom, just in case some B-Musing dust stormed into the hallway and got lost again.

Yesterday, I finished all the bags and gave the lot to her.

The Crafting Muse was so happy that she sparkled!

You can see the bags below and then take a guess which one she liked best.

Four DIY Fabric Covers for Composition Notebooks

I was ordered by the Craft Muse, who lives in the spare bedroom aka as the craft hoarding room, to start clearing a path, through the fabric stash.

She said if I don't actually start making stuff from my fabric stash, that there's going to be trouble.

Last time she said that to me, I didn't listen and thought that she was making a joke.

But is was no joke when....

She waved her wand and a truck from a charity donation organization appeared in front of the house.  Yikes!!!   The guy was getting out to ring the door bell.

I moved fast and grabbed an armful of fabric and ran!!!!

I ran right to the cutting table and started to cut fabric to make stuff, before I had to make the cut for the donation truck.

So the below are pictures of saved fabric...I made some covers for composition notebooks. I know some kids who will love them.

Geesh, the Craft Muse has a short temper.  But at least she DOES give me a warning....

The picture on the left is the front of the cover and the picture on the right is the inside pocket.

Ten Handmade Fabric Composition Notebook Covers

I've been AWOL for a while from posting, because of LIFE things and included with that is LAZY things.

However, I was not LAZY about making stuff. (Ok, tell that to the Craft Muse who lives in the spare bedroom )

Sew er So, below are pix of fabric book covers that I made.

For all of the pictures, the right pix is the front cover and the left pix is the inside pocket.  The pocket pix may also show the divider ribbon.  For all of the covers, I sew in a ribbon divider.

Butterflies on green glittery fabric. I even found some glittered butterfly buttons.

A Native American horse themed fabric, that I popped with Native American themed ribbon trim.

This mermaid themed fabric that has glittered scales. I centered one of the three mermaids and made a cover with each. I used a blue sparkly button found in my button treasure box. ( it's location is secret because it contains a treasure trove of discontinued buttons that are priceless- lol!)

I bought this snowy owl themed fabric from Spoonflower.com.

Continuing with an owl theme, the below are cutesy owls on solid periwinkle.

Rabbits,  they breed like... This fabric has lots of rabbit breeds. I bought the fabric from Spoonflower.com

And now for something completely different! Carousel Unicorns.

THREE DIY Key Chains

I've been relaxing er working at a slower pace because the Craft Muse needed help packing away Christmas decorations.

The Craft Muse likes really likes gold, so she waved her wand and wings and the garland appeared, and appeared and appeared.  Unfortunately, she can not wave her wand and wings to make the garland disappear.

I was recruited to especially take off the miles of gold garland from her tree.

Why? Because I am over six inches tall, that is why and the tree is over six feet tall.  Yep, the Craft Muse is a little bit of a thing (but with a giant of an attitude).

However, since I did receive in the mail, some new ribbons this week,I had an excuse to untangle from the miles of gold garland, that was laying allover the floor and funiture. I took a short break to make some wristlet sized key fobs.

See them below.

DIY Stocking Stuffers- Wrapped Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Nuggets

The Crafting Muse needed a chocolate fix.

She asked for some help or I would be banished to world of non-crafting for a month.

So raided my ribbon stash (which is btw in her bedroom) and  wrapped some Hershey Milk Chocolate Nuggets and that saved the day and me from that non-craft dull world.

Below are some wrapped chocolates that I left as offerings to the Craft Muse.

I used gift tag stickers to make these. I have a pad of Christmas cardstock paper. I place the wrapped nuggets on a cardstock using double sided tape and slid them into a pretzel bag. Tied it off with a ribbon and it's done!. On the back is a stick that says Hershey's milk chocolate nuggets.

Here is a gift card tin full of wrapped Hershey's nuggets. I used left over scraps of HP, and  Chicago sports themed and then some gorgeous ribbon that I have from making key fobs. The box was a little big, so I wrapped some smarties candy in gift tag stickers, and placed between the nuggets. Hoping that these will appease the craft muse.  She's got to like some thing in the tins.
